HYDERABAD: Senior IPS officer Rajiv Ratan of the 1991 batch currently serving as the Director General of Telangana Vigilance and Enforcement wing, died of cardiac arrest while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Hyderabad on Tuesday. He was 56.
Chief minister A Revanth Reddy expressed shock over the sudden demise of Rajiv Ratan. He was sincere and efficient in discharging his duties in his entire career in the police department, said the CM .
He was heading the vigilance and enforcement inquiry, appointed by the government, on the Medigadda barrage.During his stint, he worked as SP Karimnagar, inspector general to Hyderabad Region, MD Police Housing Corporation and DG State Fire Services.
The CM remembered the remarkable services rendered by Rajiv Ratan to the police department in the state for a long time. ” The Telangana Society will remember him for performing the duties efficiently and honestly,” he said in a message . He also conveyed deep sympathies to the grieving family members.
