Cong-BRS Water War Peaks With Barrage Of Charges – A Meta-Title for SEO | Hyderabad News

MEDIGADDA (BHUPALPALLY): Chief minister A Revanth Reddy said Medigadda and two other barrages were victims of corruption in Kaleshwaram Lift Iirrigation Scheme (KLIS) and dared ex-CM K Chandrasekhar Rao to come to assembly on Wednesday and participate in the debate on white paper on irrigation projects, including Medigadda sinking issue and Kaleshwaram, if he had not done anything wrong.
He took objection to KCR’s comment in Nalgonda public meeting where he tried to dismiss Medigadda piers sinking as a small issue, and said by saying this KCR has proven himself as the ‘most irresponsible’ leader of opposition. He alleged that BRS was raising the issue of Krishna projects and KRMB taking control of the projects only to divert the issue of Medigadda and corruption in irrigation projects.

Inquiry commission on Kaleshwaram soon
Revanth said the govt would appoint an inquiry commission on Kaleshwaram by a retired judge after the assembly session. Action would be taken on all the responsible, including blacklisting barrage contractor L&T, and others depending on the enquiry report, he said.
“The former CM went to Nalgonda on a wheelchair and spoke on Krishna water issue and KRMB in the public meeting to gain sympathy from people and also seek votes and divert the issue from corruption in irrigation projects. The person who could go to Nalgonda to participate in a public meeting is, however, not coming to assembly, which is not far from his residence,” Revanth said.
He also took objection to the comment by KCR that the resolution on KRMB by the assembly on Monday was not proper and said if that was the issue, why did his party okay the unanimous resolution and why did the BRS chief not come to the House and give his suggestions.
“Medigadda barrage was originally proposed at 1,800 crore, which was later revised to 4,300 crore. This is only a tip of the iceberg. The Comptroller and Auditor General has also pointed out irregularities in Kaleshwaram project, which will be presented in the assembly. We will take up a comprehensive debate on these issues in the House,” the CM said.
Revanth said the govt had invited BRS to Medigadda along with other parties. But BRS and BJP stayed away from the tour.
