Realtor Lured and Killed by Gang of Eight in Yousufguda, Telangana | Hyderabad News

HYDERABAD: A real estate businessman allegedly lured by a woman for a late-night rendezvous was stabbed to death on the terrace of her house by a gang of eight lying in wait at Lakshminarasimha Nagar in Yousufguda late on Wednesday night. The woman is in police custody.
P Ramu (36), who lived in Kukatpally, was a native of Singapatnam in Nagarkurnool and had joined BJP during the recent assembly elections. He was stabbed multiple times and also suffered injuries on his private parts.
The prime suspect was one Manikanta, once Ramu’s friend but now a sworn enemy since the past one year, cops said. Manikanta was earlier arrested for attempt to murder by Petbasheerabad cops based on Ramu’s complaint. “We suspect that enmity between them led to murder,” said Jubilee Hills inspector K Venkateshwar Reddy.
Cops said an examination of Raju’s mobile revealed he had come to Yousufguda after a conversation with the woman. He had lived in Yousufguda before moving to Kukatpally with his family. The cops are now quizzing the woman to get to the bottom of the conspiracy.
On Thursday afternoon a few persons including a history-sheeter from Borabanda, Jeelani, surrendered to the cops. Police were tight-lipped if Manikanta was among them. Manikanta, Jeelani, one Vinod and others were allegedly involved, cops said.
Ramu’s family claimed there had been a murder conspiracy even a year ago. Both the victim and accused had financial disputes too.
“From the last one year there have been differences between Ramu and his friend. On knowing about the conspiracy to kill him, Ramu had attacked him. We do not know the reason for the feud,” a relative said. A case has been registered.
